Our school vision focuses on developing successful, responsible and confident learners. Taking part in the Big School’s Birdwatch provides many opportunities to do just this.
We work very closely with the R.S.P.B at Strumpshaw Fen and we have developed a programme of study for children to become conservation scientists who help track the ups and downs of birds across the country.
Over the last 2 weeks we have been learning to recognise and describe different species of birds. Our counting skills were tested with some large flocks of birds and we have been inspired to design and make some beautiful bird masks.
Here are some photographs of our adventures in our beautiful school grounds that include our pond and wildlife area.
