Dr Yeates visits the Key Stage 1 children

Many thanks to Dr Sarah Yeates for coming in to school and organising a range of activities connected to our Science topic, Living Things and their Habitats. Dr Yeates is a scientist and works in the Faculty of Science at the University of East Anglia. She very kindly arranged to borrow several resources from the ‘Outreach’ organisation, including a range of microscopes, a sticky log with bugs that attach to it, several examples of imitation excrement from different animals and bug magnifying glasses. All the children had great fun collecting samples from our very own school pond and then participating in all the activities.
