Friends Report

The government wants schools to be at the ‘hub of the community’ and the Friends of Brundall are doing this to an amazing degree. Last year’s fete, the first that I have attended with my family, was a wonderful event which we all enjoyed. It was a lovely mix of activities and stalls, with a great community and family feeling.

The Fireworks Night is a professional and spectacular evening for the community, and the smaller events like the Fair and Discos also do their part to help build a sense of community for our pupils at Brundall Primary. I cannot overstate the goodwill and effort involved in supporting our school community in this manner. I would like to thank all of the Friends for their dedication in organizing and leading these events and ensuring their success.

In addition to the events in themselves, the money raised has made possible some ‘extras’ for all the pupils at school: new book boxes have been ordered for each class, rainy day games chests are in each class, and major plans are on the table for the covered Reception Play Area and the sun-cover Sails for the Key Stage 2 area.

I am grateful for the contributions the FOBS make throughout the year to our children. The events and the financial support they generate are outstanding, and I want to acknowledge the huge commitment, effort and contribution that FOBS make to our school community.
