How active are you?

I was delighted to see that one of our younger pupils joins in with Brundall Parkrun at the weekends. Thank you for the photograph of father and son challenging themselves on a cold, Saturday morning.  He even made it into the latest Brundall Parkrun news…

“My most favourite and memorable moment on Saturday was towards the end of the morning when young * walked up to me and said “Thank you”. This was such a sweet and polite thing to do and I was very touched. I had actually seen *while he was running and couldn’t believe how fast his little legs were carrying him! I told * I thought his running was fantastic and gave him a high-five; I have to say, even after running 5k, * gives a very firm high-five! It wasn’t until later when I processed the results, I saw that this had been *’s 2nd parkrun and he had scored a PB of 29:28 knocking an incredible 3 minutes and 23 seconds off his last time! Well done *, you should be very proud of yourself!”

As parents and carers we will influence our child’s interest and participation in sport. Government guidelines recommend that children are physically active for at least 60 minutes a day. Parkrun is a free activity which is in our village,  and encourages all family members to be active and beat their own P.B.  Contact www.parkrun.org.uk/brundall to find out more.

Please remember to send in any photographs or sporting achievements so that we can share them with our school community and inspire others.

Many thanks,

Mrs Brown
