This was a whole school event with every learner having the opportunity to take part in a cross country race and earn points for their House. This time it was Heron House who won but every child who took part should be recognised for the effort and willingness to push themselves and improve.
Being active is a crucial part of being a successful learner. Guidelines recommend that children are active for at least 60 minutes everyday. This can include walking, scooting or biking to and from school as well as after school clubs and activities.
Many families take part in the village ParkRun which takes place on a Saturday at 9.00am. What a great way to ensure you are getting your 60 minutes and it is free.Further information can be found at https://www.parkrun.org.uk/brundall/
Next week we look forward to an area cross country competition against other schools. Later in November we are also taking part in a Sportshall Athletics competition at the Sportspark and in December we will be taking 24 children to compete in an area swimming gala. Last year we were recognised for our commitment to competitive sport and we again won a silver award.
Please let us know of any sporting achievements or interests that happen out of school too. You may inspire others…
