After leaving Brundall Primary School, I went to Thorpe House School till 16 and then took A’ levels at the Hewett School, Norwich. I went to Leeds University to study Animal and Plant Biology. I spent a couple of years working partly in Ireland as a research scientist on the European Prospective into Cancer and Nutrition, which was attempting to look at links between diet and disease and then became a Biology teacher. I married and in 2006, my family and I moved out to Switzerland where I teach in the International School of Geneva. We enjoy Winter Sports in the beautiful mountains and swimming in the Lake during the Summer. When I was at Brundall Primary I sometimes had to sit out in PE classes because I had asthma. Nowadays I don’t have asthma anymore and so really enjoy being outside and active whether it’s walking, running, skiing or swimming.
