Christmas displays are popping up all around school to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
As part of an art evaluation around school, we decided to focus a lot of attention on skin tones. We have all been learning to recognise the vast range of browns that make up our skin colour.
The outstanding talents of Brundall School rediscovered by a visitor called Lucky Moyo from Zimbabwe, lucky taught years 3, 4, 5 & 6 a dance called ‘the gumboot dance’.
Puffin Class made a beautiful dragonfly out of recycled materials to feature in the 2009 Brundall Sculpture Trail.
Our ‘Small is Beautiful’ art exhibition was the showcase for some of the superb learning that went on around our school in Beauty Week.
Beauty Week kicked off with a whole school workshop on Tai Chi. Julian Wilde came with one of his students, Elaine, to demonstrate moves from the famously beautiful ‘internal’ matial art. Because our school is so big, it takes a lot of effort to keep our displays looking good.
Helen Otter is studying for an MA at Norwich School of Art & Design. She helped pupils produce environmental art for areas that Y4 children had designated as ‘ugly and needed brightening up’.
