Both YR3 classes went to Sheringham for a World War II day trip. When we arrived at Sheringham, we were evacuated to Holt via the steam train. We had a lovely day, full of action.
As part of literacy, Y3 pupils studyied ‘The Tempest’ by William Shakespeare. Puffin Class acted out their own version of the play as a ‘New Beginnings’ assembly to the rest of the school.
Puffin class went to Wells-Next-The-Sea on a geography trip just before Norfolk Week. Please read what the children said about the trip.
Class 3P recently performed an assembly to parents, carers and the rest of the school. It was based on our latest geography project which was ‘Weather Around the World’.
This Spring term, Year 3 pupils have been learning about instructional texts. We had to read instructions carefully in order to make paper quilling Mothers day cards, and we wrote our own instructions to show other children how to make Easter bunny baskets.
Mrs Thomas in Y4 and Miss Peers in Y3 are training in ‘Mantle of the Expert’ teaching and learning skills’. Tim Taylor from the Advisory Service came and spent the day with them, showing them how learning about the Anglo-Saxons can be taught through drama strategies. Here we are ‘mantling’ in class 4TH.
We have been making pneumatic moving monsters in design technology lessons.
This year, we are learning Latin. Four teachers from Norwich School came to teach us. It’s great fun! Here we are watching Mr Kettley acting out a story with Minimus, our Latin mouse friend.
