On 23rd June, Year 4 took a journey back in time when went on our class trip to Kentwell.
Year 4 pupils are learnig about India. Mrs Thomas’ class invited a Year 3 pupil who had recently visited relatives there to give a presentation. She made a powerpoint presentation and brought in artefacts. The pupils particularly enjoyed trying on some of the clothes!
Mrs Thomas in Y4 and Miss Peers in Y3 are training in ‘Mantle of the Expert’ teaching and learning skills’. Tim Taylor from the Advisory Service came and spent the day with them, showing them how learning about the Anglo-Saxons can be taught through drama strategies. Here we are ‘mantling’ in class 4TH.
Bridgit Warns taught Y4 pupils and teachers to belly dance during T.A.T week with a ‘Turkish Animated Tummies’ workshop.
Helen Otter is studying for an MA at Norwich School of Art & Design. She helped pupils produce environmental art for areas that Y4 children had designated as ‘ugly and needed brightening up’.
