Mrs Winter is conducting a four week adult cookery master class to raise money for the Haiti earthquake disaster appeal. During the first session, we watched the professional making a lasagne and picked up some clever tips along the way. Mrs Browne from the canteen, helped and did the judging.

We were put into two teams, The Red Peppers and The Green Peppers. Mrs Forder, Mrs Sims and Mrs Lamb and her daughter (Red Peppers) won due to a slight technicality.. The Green Peppers (Miss Peers and Mrs Thouless) forgot to add the sugar to their apple pies and Mrs T forgot the cheese in her quiche!

Mrs Lamb won overall with a staggering 21 points, despite the fact that she melted her plastic apron against the oven. Miss Peers set fire to a paper towel, but otherwise a great evening was had by all and we can’t wait until next week!
