Recycled Sculpture Trail

On Sunday 10th May, Brundall village held its very first ‘Recycled’ Sculpture Trail and our school was invited to take part by organiser, Karen Steadman. The sculptures had to be made predominantly from reclaimed materials and reflect aspects of Norfolk. Many of the sculptures were made by pupils and their families. Y3/4 pupils entered a ‘Jubilee Broad Dragonfly’ which was snapped by the local press and published in the Evening News. Y6 pupils entered some futuristic cityscapes of Norwich. Here’s what Libby said about her exhibit… ‘The Different Duck’

This duck was just an idea that grew and grew. It started off being a funny and little thought in my head until, for some reason, I asked my granddad for a piece of old chicken wire. Luckily he had some…so I moulded the wire to make a duck. Then I started wandering through the house looking for things I could use. For the bottom part, I ripped up my Mum’s old trousers, and found a green plastic bag for the head and paper for the wings! I hope you like it!
