Some Y5 pupils have been extremely busy setting up a battle game card business. The original idea was to create a set of cards based on trading cards. The interest snowballed and soon a team of designers was generated who specialised in various aspects of marketing and production.

Jonathan, who came up with the initial idea for the NETZ cards, says that he found an empty packet and just for fun, made some random cards. He then showed his friend his basic designs. His friend liked the cards and began to show them off to others and the rest is history.

The team now have a collector’s sheet, rules, podium and ninety cards (sold in packs of three), which will be on sale from Monday 14th April. One of their advertising strategies was to produce a powerpoint presentation to the rest of the school. Click on the video below to see the NETZ presentation.
