A big thank you to all of the parents and carers who came to support their child in our whole school sports day. It was a fantastic event with children competing against themselves and others. After weeks of preparation and hard work many children achieved Personal Bests in their Run, Jump and Throw, whilst other events showcased some of the new physical skills learnt this year.
We were very fortunate to have one of our ex-pupils Toby Briggs who has represented England in golf, Charlotte Walker a national swimmer and Jacob Carver an up and coming javelin thrower and pole-vaulter, to inspire our children.
We would also like to thank The Friends of Brundall School and some volunteers from the Women’s Institute who helped by providing refreshments.
There was a great atmosphere of effort and encouragement throughout the school. This event ends a year long programme of competition with our children competing within our school and against other schools in our cluster and beyond.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and staff who have helped to make this a very successful year in sport.
Finally, congratulations to Swift House who won the Brundall School Athletics Cup this year.
