It has been an exciting term for competitive sport. As well as our whole school cross country competition, we have also taken part in competitions against other schools.
We are very proud of all of our athletes who demonstrated motivation, perseverance and of course stamina to represent our school in a cross country at North Walsham Rugby Club, a swimming gala at Thorpe High School and Sportshall Athletics at the University of East Anglia’s Sportpark last week.
There are many lessons to learn from sport, like how to win and lose gracefully, how to continue when things go wrong, teamwork and of course how to stay fit and healthy. It also teaches us that through practice and hard work you will often get good results.
It has been a pleasure to take these children to compete. Their behaviour in and out of school continues to impress us and they continue to demonstrate the School Games Values.
This would not be possible without the commitment of staff and all of our fantastic volunteers who continue to make this an exciting place to learn.
Six children have reached the final of the County Cross Country Final which is 4th March at Holkham Hall and six medals (1sts) were won at the swimming gala last week. We await the Sportshall Athletics results…
This has been summed up beautifully by a child who took the time to create a super thank you note…
