On Wednesday the Toucan Class took part in a football festival at the Sportspark. This was an exciting morning of learning new skills and competing against other schools. This is a great example of the benefits of taking part in competitive sport and learning outside of the classroom. Here are some of their thoughts after returning to school:
” It was awesome!”
” I found it challenging but it was great fun!”
“It was a good experience. You got to learn new skills like goal- keeping and the “w” catch”.
“We played against other schools and learned new skills like dribbling”.
“I have new skills now!”
“My favourite part was playing the matches. We’ve really improved.”
Thank you to Miss Peers and Mrs Davies for taking them.
Next week our school is taking part in the Adapted Games at the Sportspark and next half term we have the School Games cross country competition to look forward to.
