Dodos Week #11

This week the Dodos rewrote a story called the Prince and the Flying Carpet and changed it to Phil Neville and the Simon Cowell’s Trousers – it already has the makings of a classic. We looked at measures in maths but got a bit sidetracked with an international maths battle on Manga High. We had visits in school from the Police (re: eSafety) and Jess (re: possessions and belongings). We also did two lots of science this week: looking at the strength of jelly and the effects of exercise on the cardiovascular system. Some Dodos went to a rugby tournament in Sprowston and dominated as usual. Finally, we began making presentations on the Golden Age of Islam to summarise what we have learnt this term.

Next week…

We will be visited by Shan Barclay, a local muslim. We are going to be writing our own stories and build on the classic Phil Neville story (see the Home Learning Blog for more ideas on how you can help with this). We are also going to finish the science experiments and continue with our Islam presentations.
